Mapping Products to Marketplace Listings
When Iraca syncs orders from a marketplace, it needs to know which internal product corresponds to each item in the order. This is handled through product mappings — a link between an Iraca product and its external listing.
How mappings are created
Automatic (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Walmart)
These platforms include a SKU on every order line item. Iraca uses that SKU to find the matching product in your catalog:
- Existing mapping found — the already-linked product is used.
- Local product with a matching SKU found — the product is linked and a mapping is created automatically.
- No match — Iraca creates a new product using your configured SKU prefix (e.g.
PRD-0042) and stores the marketplace SKU in the mapping. Your internal catalog always uses your own naming convention, regardless of what SKU the marketplace sent.
You don't need to do anything. By the time the order appears in Iraca, the product exists in your catalog and the mapping is in place.
Manual (Etsy, TikTok Shop)
These platforms identify products by internal listing IDs, not SKUs. Iraca can't automatically match them to your catalog, so you'll need to map them manually.
- Go to Integrations and open the channel connection
- Scroll to Product Mappings
- Click Auto-match to let Iraca try to match by name, or map them one by one
What a mapping does
Once a product is mapped to a channel, Iraca can:
- Import orders with the correct product on each line
- Push inventory levels back to the marketplace when stock changes (if sync is enabled)
Both directions use the same mapping record.
Checking your mappings
Go to Integrations, open a channel connection, and scroll to Product Mappings. Each row shows:
- The Iraca product
- The external listing ID or SKU
- Whether inventory sync is enabled
- The last time it synced
You can enable or disable inventory sync per product from this table.
SKU prefix setting
When Iraca creates a product automatically from a marketplace order, it always assigns a sequential local SKU using your configured prefix (e.g. PRD-0001). The marketplace's own SKU is stored in the mapping and used for inventory sync — it never becomes your internal SKU.
You can change your prefix under Settings → Catalog Settings. Existing products are not affected.
